Donald Trump's Preferred Attorney General Mike Davis is Really Weird
Mike Davis, who may become the Attorney General during a second Donald Trump administration, is really weird.
It should be noted that when Republicans like Mike Davis talk about putting "Anchor Babies" in cages, they're referring to children who we born in the United States, have lived their whole lives in the United States, and are American citizens.
Here's a bit of background on Mike Davis via the right-wing dark money group The Federalist Society:
Mike Davis, the former Chief Counsel for Nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, is the founder and president of the Article III Project (A3P) and also leads the Internet Accountability Project (IAP). Davis has served in all three branches of the federal government, including for President George W. Bush, the Justice Department, House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and current Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 2000 from the University of Iowa. Davis also serves on the University of Iowa Political Science Advisory Board.
Weirdos like Mike Davis are the GOP mainstream. They would support him as Trump's AG. The Republican party has just become really weird.
I took all of these screenshots. Here are the links to each one of Mike's Tweets [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]. If any of them have been deleted, I did save them with screenshots to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
