Republican politicians in the United States have been getting increasingly weird recently. That's not to say they weren't weird during the presidencies of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, etc. They were. It's just that the steady downward descent has fallen off a cliff in the Donald Trump era.
